Located on Lake Banook in Dartmouth NS, we are non-profit organization that fosters community involvement and personal growth through social, recreational, and athletic endeavors. The versatility of having both paddling and rowing programs within our facility creates an outlet for members of all ages and abilities by providing them with healthy lifestyle alternatives both for their physical and mental well-being. Our programs aspire to help change lives and instill the belief that anything is possible, while our goal orientated atmosphere creates a stimulus for members to strive to be the best they can be.
For over 90 years, Mic Mac A.A.C. has contributed to the development of rowing and paddling in Nova Scotia, and has produced numerous athletes who have earned the privilege to compete and achieve enormous success in Canada Games, National Championships, World Championships and the Olympic Games.
MicMac AAC Canoe/Kayak At Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club we offer programs for beginners (ages 5 -15) as well as those who have honed their skills and train as elite or high performance athletes.
We offer lessons in both Canoe and Kayak for recreational and completive. Mic Mac A.A.C. was established in 1923 known then as The Mic Mac Aquatic Club.
An energetic group of Dartmouth citizens pooled their resources for the development of aquatic sports on Lake Banook and before long the small boat house was created.
The Mic Mac AAC is a full service facility on the shores of Lake Banook. We have two beautiful rooms, which will surely suit any event.
With access to the balcony over looking picturesque Lake Banook, the AQUATIC ROOM provides an exquisite location for any event, including Corporate Days.
This large, smoke-free, air conditioned room offers excellent full-service options. The room features seating up to 300 guests (with no food requirements) and up to 250 guests (with food requirements).
The Patterson Room, also has access to a beautiful balcony over looking picturesque Lake Banook. This smaller, smoke-free, air conditioned room offers excellent full-service options. The Patterson Room features seating up to 60 guests (with or without food requirements).
Whatever your special event, Mic Mac AAC is prepared to work with you to make it a memorable one. We offer a full range of first class services at reasonable prices.

This dynamic high energy band will play for a "hot summer evening" in July. We will open both the Aquatic and Patterson Rooms for this event as well as the decks.

This dynamic band features several horn players, drums, keyboards, guitars as well as several singers entertaining us with songs from the early days of Motown, old Rock & Roll along with current songs.
